Daniel Vitalis Rewild Yourself

Daniel Vitalis / ReWilding

Current Favorite Podcast

I was recently introduced to Daniel Vitalis's podcast, Rewild Yourself, through a friend of mine. She sent me a link to one about gut health and the micro biome, both of which I knew very little about but by the end of it was very well informed. Recently I've been feeling like I need a greater connection to not only parts of myself but to the natural world and environment around me. There is so much information out there today, which on one hand is fantastic, but on the other can be overwhelming. Where does one go to get honest, true and practical life information that can be applied and integrated into ones already full schedule. This I believe is one of those places.

Let's back up a little and get some background on the man. He has been practicing and living the 'rewilding' life for two decades. This guy really does practice what he preaches. He is a leading health, nutrition, and personal development strategist as well as a nature-based philosopher. He teaches that our health is a product of living in alignment with our biological design and our role in the ecosystem.

He is also the creator of FindASpring.com - a community and user created database of natural springs around the world, helping the public find clean, fresh, wherever they live. He is also a founding member of SurThrival.com, which is an online suppliers of premium, biologically active and fully natural nutritional medicines for regeneration, immunity and healthy endocrine function.

The podcasts themselves cover a broad range of topics; water, foraging, hunting, nutrition, sex, exercise and much more. I've listened to a few podcasts in the wellness, health, alternative living/thinking space and have to say the difference between Vitalis and most others is that he is not only incredibly well informed and lives the life but he is an extremely  good interviewer. He allows his guests to talk openly, asks poignant questions that lead to greater discussion and ultimately is a genuine and legitimate guy who is passionate about his practice which creates a dynamic forum for discussions.

Most of the subject matters I have been learning about are completely new to me. But frankly after listening to all of them so far, I can't help think why is this not in our school curriculum from day 1! Positive, beneficial and practical information about living in the modern world by adopting and recognizing some of our ancestral practices and ways. It makes a lot of sense, and if you're a seeker looking for new information about how to combat some of the modern worlds toxins, live a more harmonious life or simply becoming better informed about subjects that will benefit the health of your life, look no further, this is the podcast for you.

I'll be honest and say that my lack of education on subjects initially made me a little skeptical, but that vanished entirely 10 minutes into the first podcast when the information started to make sense and was backed up by practice, experience, science and facts. I highly encourage you to check it out and delve into a world that will inspire you to adapt, adopt and rewild yourself.
