FABRIC & DETAILS

LOT # 021418

This fabric was found in an extremely short supply, only enough to make 15 jackets. The hand is compact and luxurious, with the subtle white selvedge line being the perfect complement to the classic and true khaki color twill. Subtle slub in the textile make this a timeless classic that we love.

Garment Details: 2 upper chest pockets, 2 lower side pockets (on seam), metal button front & pocket, selvedge line on inside placket, unlined

Conservation: By purchasing this product you are saving approximately 1850 gallons of water it takes to produce enough cotton to make a single jacket. This huge amount of water is for the growing, harvesting, transporting, dyeing and finishing of the textile. You are also helping conserve enormous amounts of machine and human energy along with thousands of miles of transportation.

KUROKI, JAPAN

Kuroki, established recently in 1984, is located in the textile rich area of Okayama, Japan. The company is divided into three parts that all focus on a different element of the production process, consequently they are able to tightly control every part of their process, guaranteeing the highest quality of the final products.

The first department controls the dyeing and it's where the denim is rope-dyed and sized for production. The next covers the denim weaving on the shuttle looms which create the highly sought after selvedge lines. The third department monitors finishing and wash, while the majority of their denim is either sold raw sanforized or unsanforized.
