LOT # 011818

We really like this subtle slub, cross hatch looking Kurabo Dark Indigo denim and grabbed as much as we could. It drapes beautifully because of the weave and has a deep inky indigo cast to it. A very unique looking denim that will look amazing after it's been worn in and broken down.

Garment Details: 3/16" Kabayo stitching, chain stitching, 6 belt loops, button fly, heavy weight pocket bags. two tone stitching.

Conservation: By purchasing this product you are saving approximately 1850 gallons of water it takes to produce enough cotton to make a single jean. This huge amount of water is for the growing, harvesting, transporting, dyeing and finishing of the textile. You are also helping conserve enormous amounts of machine and human energy along with thousands of miles of transportation.

KURABO, JAPAN

Founded in 1888, Kurabo is one of the few remaining cotton spinning companies in Japan today. They have been developing and producing denim products for over 40 years using our proprietary technologies in spinning, dying, weaving, and finishing.

Kurabo has built quality into production systems by carefully managing quality control across supply chains from material procurement to production. Whether in Japan or anywhere else around the world, Japanese engineers effectively share technology and control quality under the “Kurabo Standard”, so that every product represents “Made by Kurabo.”

After years of troubleshooting and development, Kurabo came up with what they call their “MR” slub yarn, which recreates the non-geometric slub shape and thickness of natural vintage. It is very difficult to produce this naturally uneven yarn since spinning equipment today specializes in producing even yarn. But, with years of passionate research and the application of our advanced spinning technology, Kurabo has successfully reproduced the vintage-like appearance of the original slub yarns.
