FABRIC & DETAILS

This fantastic charcoal denim was recovered at one of our sources in Los Angeles a year or so ago. It's a great alternative to indigo or black and goes with most everything we wear. The denim is dry and compact, and after a few washes starts to wear in beautifully. Definitely one of our favorite denims we've found so far and from the leader of responsibly made denim textiles.

Garment Details: Single left hand pocket w/pen or utensil pocket, belt loops.

Conservation: By purchasing this product made from deadstock denim you are saving approximately 800 gallons of water it normally takes to produce enough cotton to make an apron like of this size. This huge amount of water is for the growing, harvesting, transporting, dyeing and finishing of the textile. You are also helping conserve enormous amounts of machine and human energy along with thousands of miles of transportation.

CANDIANI DENIM, ITALY

Candiani Denim is one of the finest denim mills in the world, located in a small town, west of Milan, Italy. Established in 1938, Candiani is a leader in sustainable textile practices, manufacturing and innovation.

More than 20% of the overall cotton it processes is sourced from Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), an organization that exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, for the environment it grows in and to better the sector's future.

Candiani views recycling as a key part of our product lifecycle management and are committed to the principles of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle. They believe limiting waste as much as possible is absolutely necessary to safeguard the environment. They collect and recycle their own waste of yarns from the spinning, warping and dyeing departments.
